Contract disputes dealt with may arise, for example, from real estate sales, leases (including ground leases), options to extend or purchase, sales of goods, partnerships, service contracts, insurance policies, home improvement contracts, and building contracts. Claims may not only be based on a breach of contract but also negligence. Contractual clauses may require out of court private arbitration in lieu of suit in court in which case we comply with such requirement. Attorney fees payable by the losing party are as such recoverable if provided in the contract. Where the bankruptcy courts are not involved and there is no private arbitration, any litigation is brought in Superior Court (unless $10k or less where jurisdiction lies in small claims court).
